Costa Rica
Pictures from our latest trip to Costa Rica have been added to the site! Experience the Tortuguero National Park, the Arenal vulcano at La Fortuna, the 'Harry-Potter'-like scenery of Rincon de la Vieja, 'little Amazon' at Monteverde, the lush rain forest of San Gerardo de Dota, the La Sirena ranger station in Corcovado and the tropical beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park. If you like my pictures, you can order the photo book 'Costa Rica - Pura Vida' online for only € 35,-.

Website and camera gear update
After returning from Costa Rica I finally found some time to update this website. The Gallery software has been updated to the latest version, which makes it more easy for me to upload multiple images at a time, and the comments section is working again. I also decided to upgrade my camera gear, I now have the Pentax K-7 (14 MP) camera with Pentax DA* 60-250 f/4, Sigma 18-50 f/2.8, Pentax 'fisheye' 10-17 f/3.5-4.5 and the 'Bigma' 150-500 f/5-6.3 in my backpack, along with a Pentax AF-360 flash gun.

Southern Norway
You can find pictures of our trip to Norway in the 'Southern Norway' Gallery on the right. Discover the fjords, mountains and plains of this magnificent country. A hardcover photo album is available for sale at Amazon.com.

Landscape photography with Bas Meelker
Last weekend I participated in an advanced photographers workshop hosted by the renowned wildlife and landscape photographer Bas Meelker. The workshop took place in the national park 'Lauwersmeer' in North-Netherlands. The Lauwersmeer is a man-made lake and has evolved into an important breeding and hibernation area for a variety of species of ducks and gooses. The workshop focused on how to make better pictures in 'live' circumstances. I can recommend the workshop to anyone who wishes to broaden his knowledge of nature photography.

Iceland
The winter of 2007, our travel destination was Iceland. After hiring a Land Rover Defender, the trip went from the nations capital Reykjavik to the black beaches of Vik, to the geysers near Hvitá river and the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall and from Pingvellir national park via the lava plains back to Reykjavik. You will find a selection of images in the Iceland 2007 album, or watch the travel video: A trip to Iceland.

A journey through China
Summer 2006 we headed for China - starting with Beijing, then Pingyao, Chengdu, Yangzi river, Chongqing, Wulingyuan, Hangzou, and Shanghai. Images of this trip are now available, see the album China 2006 at the right, or watch the video: A journey through China.

How was Corcovado compared to the other stops you made. We're planning an upcoming trip to Corcovado, and I'm trying to decide whether it is worth the effort required to get there.

I adored your photos. The colors are astounding and the composition is unique. They seem so alive.. they take my breath away. Please continue with your work. Just amazing!

Thank you for bringing beauty to us through your eyes.
